+CrushedPixel If you can make this work in 1.9, mapmakers everywhere will be in your debt! I am aware the system would need to be completely changed, but it may be possible somehow. In particular, skeletons are an absoloute nightmare to do this with.

A map called "Terra Restore 2" has a villager that attacks zombies & other hostile mobs but the player (area 8) and two villagers seemingly dueling with each other (area 9)... Can you help... recreate those effects?

Also: http://minecraft-de.gamepedia.com/UUID It's in german, I hope you can understand it, but it is the only source I could find.
1: No, the UUID MUST be specific. 2: I don't have the answer, but you can check the UUID's of enitities by 1) giving them a score and displaying it on the sidebar 2) /say @e and shiftclick on the name

Thanks a lot! I have a couple of questions though: 1. Do I really need all the zeros? Isn't it possible to leave some out? 2. Can I use UUID "names" of multiple characters? (e.g. {UUIDLeast:1-1,UUIDMost:1-1}) and then change the zeros? I will be testing a little bit as well, but it would be nice to know the answers or maybe a source?

One way is to summon an Villager Golem behind the Skeleton (Depending on where they are looking), this means that if two Skeletons face each other and try to shoot the Villager Golem behind the other one they will shoot each other, and after three seconds you will need to make all Villager Golems teleport to the void, just enough time for a Skeleton to pull back their bow and fire.

maybe. or you could go into survival and kill 20 or so Villagers! either way, it should work, but you cannot change a player's UUID.

+anthony dayrit The ownerName is an ID that the game uses to relate an item to its owner. I think UUIDs changed in 1.9 but I'm not sure. What exactly do you need help with? What is happening is this: if you summon in a pig with a UUID of "1-1-1-1-1" and then summon an ender pearl with an ownerName that belongs to the pig, "1-1-1-1-1", then its like the pig used that enderpearl.

People have mentioned making mobs fight eachother like an rts or moba, but that wouldn't work because they would only focus on one mob of the opponent's side. You could create an overcomplicated system where a mob only aggro the opponent's mobs when in a certain range. Then you run into a problem of making each mob have an individual uuid. you could have a fixed number of how many mobs can spawn, but then you need to be able to figure out which uuids already used. Even then the flurry of snowballs or potions could get mixed up during an intense game. It would be insanely buggy.

I think there is still a problem with custom UUIDs! If you have more than one entity with the same UUID it becomes strange. When using /kill only ONE of the entities will die. After leaving and entering the world again you can kill one more and the rest will stay again.

I can't remember if it worked, but I think doing a /effect to hurt a mob inside a /execute, makes them angry at whichever entity you did the /execute for. Not sure though :/

+WizardXZD No, it would be /execute @a[c=1,Team=Red] ~ ~ ~ /execute @e[type=whatever or name=whatever] ~ ~ ~ /summon ThrownPotion ~ ~ ~ {ownerName:1-1-1-1-1,Potion:{id:potion,D­amage:8197,tag:{CustomPotionEffects:[{Id­:7,Amplifier:1,Duration:20}]}}}

+WizardXZD when I do that it doesn't work, it goes right through them, but if i make an upwards motion like /execute @e[c=1,Team=Red] ~ ~ ~ /summon Snowball ~ ~ ~ {ownerName:1-1-1-1-1,Motion:[0.0,1.0,0.0]} it works.

I've got an idea for endermen : I believe (well i'l trying to remember) that they have a Angry tag, or something like that. I think it's also a UUID tag. It's the same for iron golems and pigmen. I suppose that if you manually set this tag, they will get angry at the entity.
