I mean there’s still the Minecraft store we’re there’s always something there for everyone

The main issue I have with 1.13 is that, I see It as failure because of timetables (I know its a job for them and they had to released It alpng with PE) but this update should have definetly be 1.13 and 1.14. They merged a very buggy version ,which added the flattening and all of the bugs that It comes with that. By the time they merged It with 1.14, 1.13 was far from been acceptaly cleaned of bugs, there were tons of Major bugs which affected all major features of Minecraft (world generation, redstone,c rashes etc), and this and the addition of all the features made that 1.14 (aka 1.13) had all those issues that were very critic, and that we are getting finaly fixed in 1.13.1, Which in my opinión,should have be the final release date for 1.13 just for all the features that were missing because of time, (to me wouldn't be surprissing if in a couple of months, they denied the acces to 1.13 from the Launcher and only leave, 1.13.1)
I was personally underwhelmed with the update. It wasn't bad by any means in fact it was great but they missed out on alot of things I was hopeing for. One of these complaints of mine is the mobs, I love the fish, turtles, dolphins, and drowned but I was hopeing for more sea monsters like a razor sharp fish predator or a killer squid. I also think the trident should have been craftable with prismerine or obtained from a mini dungeon.

i love it but the command change is annoying and is messing with my command block creations
I avoid snapshots, so the release is fresh and new. That's how i prefer it.

I can’t see why people defend Mojang taking over a year to make one update when one person making one mod can make so much better stuff with not nearly as much time. I REALLY can’t see how it takes Mojang this long.
Uncle J (13 days ago)
I returned after the update drop. I haven't played since before 1.11 dropped. I haven't left the water since I cleared out an ocean monument a placed down a conduit. I am Poseidon now. So yeah, I'm enjoying the update.
Jesse Isbell (13 days ago)
The big issue for me is that the update makes the camera really jerky and rough.
Cephachrome (13 days ago)
I feel that you should sign in with Xbox insider hub to gain access to experimental features and snapshots, just like Minecraft W10. I feel like if this happened, more people would be hyped for the updates and would last longer

And I'm here who barely knows how 1.10 works. Whew, I'm in for a treat.

I actually don't play any snapshosts just for that reason, it is true that I don't play minecraft nearely as much as I did 3 years ago, but I do learn most of the things from your videos. You are practically the only mc youtuber I watch <3

I plan to not play 1.13 until the official thing comes out. Actually, is it out already?
Dogman_35 (19 days ago)
I get why they didn't do this originally, since they originally started off as an indie company, but why doesn't Mojang have a closed beta test or a QA team now? Instead of killing the hype with constant snapshots that spoil the entire update, they could show off features through a blog or something and have an actual team set up to find major bugs with the smaller ones being left for the community to report _after_ release. It'd probably help build more hype for the game in the long run, and spoiling the update would be more something you have to go out of your way to do. Seems like a really simple solution...
AlexM (20 days ago)
Not to mention Minecraft 1.13 has LWJGL 3.1.1 instead of 2.9.4. Significant framerate and input performance boost for me.
Shannon Smith (20 days ago)
For me people playing the snapshots made me excited. However it had a great negative effect as well. Which still is affecting the majority of players and that is how so many people still don't have the update. For instance old gen players. Over 2 million people play old gen and seeing everyone else playing the update snapshots they felt left out and even hostile towards the creators as it's taken so long for them to get hits update. Even with Java out with the new update. It took a long time bedrock seemed to be their priority and it got it first earlier than any other. Even Java. With Java out players are STILL waiting for console to get the update. Which still feel left out and loosing the hype for the new update. Of course knowing it's the last update I knew it'd take a while but this long is too long. And many people's opinions and thoughts have turned negative on the subject.
Tux Penguin (20 days ago)
We need somewhere to give update ideas to Mojang. I've already theorized four more updates. 1.14: The Underground Update, 1.15: The Inferno Update, 1.16: The Ender Update, 1.17: The Culinary Update. I've theorized the features too, but I don't want to make an obscenely long comment.
Tux Penguin (20 days ago)
Lol, I never play the snapshots anymore
Mark Finley (21 days ago)
why i dont play snap shots
NoirRaven (21 days ago)
I feel you're placing blame on the wrong people. You can't blame Mojang for your lack of restraint and control. You didn't have to make videos on the release before it happened, algorithms be damned. If anything, YouTubers like yourself can be blamed for spoiling much of the games new content. Had you just made videos for _after_ the release went live, I don't think anyone would have anything to complain about.
ViscoseComb 24 (21 days ago)
As for me, I’m probably never gonna get over this update. I cant stop experimenting with the new mechanics. Now, of course if they had put it components to Bedrock I wouldn’t be watching this video, I’d be giving myself knockback 1000 sticks.

mewser meow (22 days ago)
I think snapshots are kind of like the older updates. In mc alpha and beta up to beta 1.8 or so, updates tended to be really small (except maybe the nether update). The time people get to experiment around with new features is lengthened through snapshots is lengthened as new features trickle out. The final update is basically just an announcement on top of all the snapshot material for players who aren't following mc development heavily (such as me). Main releases also gives mod creators to target. You say that the update was spoiled by the snapshots and the time of enjoyment was shortened, but I personally think that if you weren't able to enjoy the new features when the snapshot came out, that's a different set of problems.

I feel like the update is simply Amazing! Since the addition of Ruins and Sunken Boats, I have never left the water. I have been following the snapshots quite closely, and every addition seemed to marvel me. But, just like the past, full releases effect on me is just 'Here! Have this final snapshot that has enough bugs corrected so the game goes smoothly and as intended!' So while snapshots are the new flavoured gummy bears, the full release would be toothbrush so we can keep eating.
Jason Johns (23 days ago)
No. It would have ruined the update if it came out and was buggy as heck. There is also a LOT to be said about getting community feedback on added features so they are as great as possible and not like the combat mechanics and dumped on us without input.
ElmerF (23 days ago)
Mojang could use teasers with hidden messages that shows the progress to build up the excitement of the audience... just a thought
Tom7890 (24 days ago)
I took a peak on the weekly snapshots 1 but I waited for the official luanch
EmoKidRants95 (24 days ago)
I hate the snapshots. I'm going to be honest and say I'm bored of Minecraft. I want to wait an update or 2 before I play again so I can have a new experience similar to the first time I've ever played. But even if I actively AVOID anything Minecraft related, I STILL get features spoiled in thumbnails and video titles.

I feel like they’re spoiling us too much in snapsshots and we already know what will Happen in the full release. Yes, snapshots are good because we can test and find bugs, and give our feedback on the changes.

Sentry Overwatch (25 days ago)
I think that Mojang should create a sort of "beta tester" program, wherein people could sign up for a more limited release, that way Mojang could still get feedback, without necissarily spoiling everything. Maybe?

Here is my opinion coming from a 2012 player who hasn't played since 1.10s release, I feel like the snapshots can definitely "ruin" it for some people, I purposely stopped playing the game so I can come back and see how its changed, this update with no influence has kept me entertained for days now, and I have no intent of stopping, I feel if I did play the snapshots and kept myself updated I would have burnt out in a day or so, that's my opinion

After the announcement of Update Aquatic, I was super hyped and glad that Minecrafts oceans were finally getting the attention they deserved. I purposely stopped watching all youtube videos discussing minecraft until now, as well as avoiding snapshots etc. I wanted the game to be something new to explore with my friend. So we both waited the 8 months it took, and now we're having a blast! But I agree with what AntVenom said. Mojang shouldnt be shoving the updates in our face because it just takes the fun away when the update finally releases.

Im glad that I took a step back from Minecraft. I haven't really played anything after 1.11 and I've reverted back to 1.8 servers.
Herose (26 days ago)
I don't play snapshots. I heard crashes are inevitable and there are glitches that need to be solved. The final release of an update (hopefully) wouldn't have the glitches, so my thought is why play a bugged, spoiled version (like movie spoilers) when I could wait and play a better version with additions I'll discover and surprises that will earn a genuine reaction?
Users always have to choice not to use snapshots if they want a surprise. They don't need to play the snapshot.

They need to start pumping out small updates to keep people interested
Isaac E (26 days ago)
I really kinda disagree. On one side, I do agree, they could have done with hiding some of the additions like blocks and mobs. However, on the other side, I *FULLY* prefer snapshots over massive game breaking bugs getting into official updates, and with things like redstone and how complex it is on java it's very easy for them to totally mess it up unless they have some feed back. I mean this update has world corrupting issues as it is, let alone had they not had so many snapshots, it would have been way worse. Remember translocation pistons? It was in 1.9 for a year. A massively game altering bug was present for a year. Had they taken a couple more snapshots to fix the bug we wouldn't have had to wait until 1.10 to get it addressed. (Yes I am aware that was a particularly hard bug to fix but the point stands.) On the case of just simple blocks, biomes, mobs, things like that, stuff that doesn't change pre-existing mechanics or involve altering redstone, I think they could easily just say we don't reveal until major updates or at the least pre-releases. But as for stuff that *does* alter existing mechanics and change major features they should 100% be previewing it to us in snapshots, so we can provide feedback, such is what snapshots are intended for. Also, complain about making *too many videos*.. but, from what I understand, more videos is generally a *good* thing on YouTube...

Years ago (wow), we used to anticipate the arrival of new updates. For example, i used to come home from school excited and wondering if 1.3 had been released yet. Once it was released, me and my friends would all play and find out what was new, it was great. With so many snapshots and updates coming out, it's difficult to keep up and having so many videos on them kinda spoils waiting for an initial release. Updates were kind of annual and exciting. Updates now are just looked over in my eyes. After 1.9 (which i wasn't too fond of), 1.10/11/12/13 just blew by. I didn't even play 1.10 / 11 because of it

Really off topic, but anyone else wish hypixel would allow 1.9-1.13 items and blocks on their server? I'm assuming it's because people are still troggered over rthe 1.9 combat, but they can disable it so at this point it seems lazy.
Tom Hill (27 days ago)
I like to follow allof the snapshots on youtube to know about all of the new features, then play on a new version when it's officially released. That way, you get the exitement of new feature to play with but you don't need to spend ages trying to discover them
Bernharde (27 days ago)
I was on a Minecraft hiatus, so to me all of this update feels fresh. Generally I also ignore snapshots anyway. This time I even didn't know about the features instead of awaiting them until their official release (1.08 being such update I had anticipation toward back then fully knowing what it was about).
DarkPortal (27 days ago)
I think updte aquatic made the game just 20 times easier like seriously if i can kill fish without a fishibg rod then its useless and also i can go to the nearest ocean/sea grab some fish and bam food i know that the ocean needed to change the structers and bubble colums are great but the rest is just easier and i think the new mob no matter which one won (its phantom) its just to balance ou the update. Now i can make A MOB PROOF BASE how i make 1x1x1 entrance underwater it just to easy of a game now thats why i barely play anymore outside of betas and servers.
VintageToiletsRock (27 days ago)
I followed the snapshots closely and even reported a few bugs. I feel that snapshots are overall a good thing, especially for developers and mapmakers who need to get accustomed to new features. Casual players probably shouldn't look at snapshots because things change a lot before releases. That all being said, I am less excited for 1.13 and look forward to 1.14 with the customized worlds coming back with advanced json configs and performance enhancements. I still enjoy 1.13: it is the biggest excitement I've had since 1.9 and I feel it is the start of a new era of minecraft versions.
Just don't use the snapshots. I only wait for the official updates, not snapshots, that way each update is more enjoyable.

This somehow reminds me of when every version of Minecraft expect for Minecraft Pocket Edition had redstone. That was sooo long ago.

Don’t go telling me that it is called Bedrock Edition because I started Minecraft way before The Bedrock title was released.

AntVenom, please read this. I do not like the new update, BUT here`s why! First of all, the menus were a certain, comfortable way in the previous version. easy to navigate and they made sense. Now, they`re scatered and weird, I am hardly able to find where anything is now, and I`ll tell ya, I do not like having to type in commands on an Xbox One! The creative menu is garbage to me...before, everything was easy to et to and I had it all memorized, now it`s all scattered and random it feels like. When in survival, I want to craft something- it`s so hard becaus of the menu and format change! I like craftging the old menu way. (Not classic, mind you.) Plus, the flying mechanics were great before in creative. When you look down, you fly down. No more. When you want to stop at THIS block, you hover about a space or two farther to THAT block, witch is very anooying when wanting to build or do anything involving flight. Not to mention, placing and deeting blocks is more difficult now because you must be closer to do so, when before, you could be a farther distance away. I like the new mobs, new blocks and the swimming animation, and definitey the trident, but they could have left literally everything else alone. Many of my friends and I share all of these beliefs. and by the way, I never saw any snapshots and i never heard any news before release, just to make that clear.
WinterCraft (27 days ago)
I think of it a different way.. We as the community tend to over Hype things, movies... games... other events.. we get so excited to play the new thing and we tend to over hype.. thus causing us to want something more than it really was.. I am just saying we should over hype ourselves when it comes to updates. Another thing, maybe Mojang should invest into a game play team that finds bugs the best they can and not allow regular players to play until the full release. Or, maybe release the update without snapshots example 1.13 then when people find bugs they update it too 1.13.1 1.13.2 etc.. that's what it use to be like.. or last option.. just don't play the snapshots xD

I didn’t play on the snapshot because I simply just play on servers and realms that were 1.12 at the time. I watched videos and I was not really hyped. The update is awesome, but I don’t really do much with the sea. I wanted colored wood or more building blocks since one of my focuses is building, and I guess the coral blocks could be considered, but it’s like glazed terra-cotta, to much for some builder’s preferences. You can build aquariums as well, and it will look better than building tanks earlier I must say. I remember watching a video about the snapshot A LONG time ago and I’ve learned everything about it, with really no surprise, which is probably what gives me this bland opinion about this update. Though others might still be hyped, or strongly disagree with me, this update has been over advertised and released to early in snapshots.
